KidzLife Children’s Church
We create a safe environment for kids to learn all about Jesus in fun and interactive ways while fellowshipping with each other. Our vision within the kids’ church mirrors that of our church; to see Jesus Christ glorified & demonstrated through the Church, living in the rich goodness and magnificence of God and establishing & releasing heaven on Earth. We are committed to see every child released into their full potential in Christ.
Children can join in the lessons from ages 3 to 12 years old and we split these kids into two classes:
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
It all takes place in the glass room connected to the foyer
You’ll be able to find a board at sign in displaying the name of the teacher and the lesson topic for the day
Signing your kids in & out:
• Sign in opens pre-service, where you may need to write down some details about your child.
• You can use this time to meet the teacher and helpers for the day.
• Sign in will be closed once worship starts and only re-open when the children leave the auditorium for the start of their lessons.
• If you did not sign in pre-service you will need to accompany your child for sign in once lessons commence.
• No children should be left in the glass room once worship has started.
• You will need to sign your child out and before your child can leave the glass room.
• Please make sure your children take all personal items and activities with them.
Worship in the main Auditorium:
• We believe that the children should be apart of worship with the rest of the congregation and not separated during this time.
• Children aged between 3 to 8 can stand on the right side of the auditorium with the teacher during worship or with their parents.
• Please do not leave children unattended in the foyer or auditorium.
• A slide will be presented during the worship time for KidzLife children (Ages 3-8 years) indicating for them to start their lesson.
• KidzClub children (Ages 9-12 years) stay in the auditorium for all of the worship time and will leave with their teacher once the announcements are complete.
Children are welcome to the provided morning tea. If your child has any allergies, please notify the teacher.
Water is available within the Children’s Church room, but no other drinks are allowed.
(AGES 3-8 YEARS)
Our younger kids do bible-based stories and activities that are set out and determined by our kids’ church leaders and then facilitated and brought to life by our individual teachers. They do follow a predetermined curriculum to cover as many of the biblical topics/story as possible during this time. We also assure there is time for worship, prayer and games. Each teacher might use different methods to bring the story across, but we are all united in providing a fun place to develop.
Please be aware that during school holidays lessons are adjourned and the kids will most likely be watching a movie or playing games.
(AGES 9-12 YEARS)
KidzClub prepares our older kids for the topics discussed in our main church services. This means every three weeks and during holidays the older kids are asked to stay in the church service and/or help our service teams. The teacher will discuss various topics often using training manuals to work through a topic. They will also discuss with the kids what has been happening in the main service and answer any questions they may have. You will be able to see on the sign in board the weeks the older kids stay in the service. You do not need to sign in or collect a buzzer for your older kids on the days they stay in the main service.
Please be aware that during school holidays lessons are adjourned and the older kids can choose to stay in the main service or join the younger ones for holiday games or movies. Please be aware that the games or movies are catered towards the younger kids.
STILL HAVE SOME QUESTIONS?
My child will turn 3 soon can they join in?
If your child turns 3 in the current school term they can start KidzLife.
My child is older than 12, are there any programs for them?
Our kids church is aimed at preparing our children to join the congregation in the main service by the time they reach 13, so there are no separate programs for them on Sunday mornings. There is however youth events we run outside of church services for your kids.
Who are the teachers and helpers?
All our teachers and helpers are volunteers, parents, grandparents that are apart of Freedom Life. They are all required to have working with children checks before volunteering.
I would like more information?
